Welcome to seventh grade language arts! I am so sorry I could not be there with you today, but I didn’t want to risk getting any of you sick. I’ll be there as soon as I can, and I can’t wait to get to know each and every one of you. It is going to be a great year! I can already tell!
The whole website is for your benefit, so I hope you take some time to explore it, so you can see how it will be helpful to you throughout the year. For example, if you think you need practice with your typing skills, something that will be put to the test a lot in this class, I’ve linked a place where you can complete drills and play games in order to become a faster typer.
In this section, I summarize each day’s class and upload any handouts, presentations, videos, activities, etc. That means if you are absent, you should come here to get caught up on what you missed. You can also check out this page to access a handout if you left it at school and you need it at home, to review a concept we learned in class that day, or to check and see if there was any homework. By the way, the code word for your homework is banana, so make sure to write that on your handout, but you should also keep reading.
I hope you had a wonderful first day! Make sure to complete your homework by reading the syllabus and answering the questions. Incase you forgot it at school, I’ve attached it below. 🙂
